Lamont & Tyler Black:
Trying to find a new home can feel like an endless process. Kurt and Kris were very patient with us as we continued to look at houses in neighborhoods where we thought we would want to live. For several months we looked and looked, but couldn't find a house that felt like the right fit for us. After a while, we started to get discouraged. But Kurt continued to encourage us to have faith that we would find a house. Finally, we decided to really get serious about praying for a home and the following weekend everything started to change. We happened to look online at a house that was in a different neighborhood than where we had been looking. It caught our eye and we decided to go to the open house and the next day we called Kurt to meet us for a walk through. After long discussions, we decided that we were ready to make an offer.
The bidding process turned out to be a wild ride. There were four other competing offers for the house! We were nervous that we might miss out on a great opportunity, so we followed Kurt's advice to put an escalation clause into our offer. It turned out to do the trick. The selling agent contacted us and said that the owners wanted to make a counter offer and the contract would be ours if we accepted. We talked about it and decided to go for it, so within a few hours we had a ratified contract! Kurt and Kris did a great job of walking us through the whole process all the way through closing. We are so happy in our new home and we are so thankful that the two of them helped us take the big step in becoming first-time homeowners. We highly recommend Kurt and Kris!
